About Me

A little info about me- I was born and raised in Southwick, MA. My parents owned a local bar where they raised seven children: me being the youngest. Growing up listening to the jukebox and my siblings singing and playing, I acquired a knack for hearing the music then being able to recreate it. I started playing the electric bass at 11 while I plunked along to my brother's albums. By the time I was a teenager, I started a band with my best friend. This is when I developed my ability to teach myself a song then teach my friends. For many years I played bass but started to learn more on the electric guitar. I played in many small bands, including with my sisters. In the '80s I borrowed an acoustic guitar and started playing that. In 1992 I performed for the first time as "Jack and His Guitar" at Prifti Park in Southwick, where I had to borrow my sister's guitar. I did not own my own guitar until around a month later and I've been playing with that guitar ever since. I've been playing professionally for over 30 years now. In the early days it was limited due to working as a carpenter during the day, raising my son and so on. Today, I am fortunate that this is my primary business. To love what you do everyday makes doing it so much more enjoyable. I'm proud that I can share my talents with so many people and to see true joy in the faces of so many is very gratifying. I perform at many different venues from Pubs & Restaurants, Adult Living Facilities (Nursing homes, Rehab centers, etc.), Weddings (Social Times, Ceremonies, Receptions), Church's (Services, Funerals, etc.), Private Parties (Birthdays, Graduations, Retirements, etc.), Special Events and many local affiliates events (Rotary Club, Lions Club, VFW, Knights of Columbus, etc.).

The music I play is enjoyed and loved by everyone, even the younger generations. The songs are classics and just make you feel good. Many people ask about my repertoire — well, I can tell you it's extensive. I'm going to let you in on a little secret, I cannot read music and everything I do is by ear. When I'm looking at my music stand it's for lyrics and chords and of course my set list, but no formal sheet music. People say that I have an amazing way of altering my voice to sound like specific artists (especially Johnny Cash & Elvis). I'm extremely grateful to everyone that enjoys my performances and I hope I can entertain you real soon. Thank you, Jack!
